Since the Hack In The Woods (HITW) had to be cancelled again in 2021, due to the COVID19 situation, the team started thinking on ways to engage the audience for another year without the festival. I had the idea of creating a "Pokemon Go" style app with different dev-oriented creatures, so that users would be force to go outside and catch them. This way, some of the main values of the festival -such us technology, playfulness and nature- would be kept.
The team loved the idea and decided to include the project in the Softlab Academy internship program, so that the interns would help us develope the app. I acted like the project owner and graphic designer, worked on the UX/UI design of the app, and created the little different characters.
